I love being a wedding photographer so much. I get to make my living hanging out with incredibly dynamic and engaging people in their fabulous clothes doing wonderful things. It really doesn’t get much better. Kristen and Rick are no exception- I enjoy every minute with them. We have a date planned to go to see Groovy 7 the next time they are playing at Southport Hall and I can’t wait! Today’s blog post is a mix of Kristen and Rick’s wedding day photography at Holy Rosary Church and the Audubon Tea Room, and of their Epilogue Session at the Audubon Zoo.
We began the day with bride and groom prep at the W Hotel on Poydras, and then headed over to Holy Rosary Church on Esplanade Avenue for their elegant wedding ceremony. A police escort then whisked us over to the Audubon Tea Room for their beautifully appointed and terrifically fun reception.
The wedding day went by so fast, I was delighted to spend another day with Kristen and Rick taking fun portraits at the Audubon Zoo. The real MVP’s of the shoot were the two amazing elephant trainers who ran through the whole choreography of elephant awesomeness so we could get great photos. I love those girls so much, and I hope the print I’m sending them up ends up in their elephant trainer break room at the zoo. We’ll see.
