The 2011 Big Easy Music Awards were held last night at Harrah’s Casino. An artist close to my heart, the fabulous Meschiya Lake, won Best Female Performer of the Year. The award is well deserved, and I feel so lucky to have had the pleasure of photographing Meschiya Lake last year for the cover of her debut album, Lucky Devil, and again recently with her entire band.
